Now thats funny!! Kind of like Home Improvment and Ground Hog day all rolled into one movie.

      Had an employee one time!!!

Who got a Bad cut just before lunch. He called a vet buddy of his ,we met him at a hamburger joint on North Market street in Spokane Ten stitches later we bought him a hamburger and had a laugh. So much for state industrial claims. If Teresa has hay burners she has a vet, something to think about Mike.

Dave - I used to work for the vet for a living and can fix a lot of things but..... it looked pretty deep when you poked about so wasn't going to even give it a try. About the only thing we have around now is fishing line and a sewing needle. (Used that to sew up and R/C boaters hand once at a race in the middle of no where) Thank goodness for medical insurance.

Bill - I hope there is no double repeat here!

Bet that sucker is going to be really sore this morning.

          Get Back to Work

          Looks like a flesh wound.

To date, every boat I have built has some of my blood on it. My favorites are the times you forget to swap out the 1.5" staples for 1/2" staples... and you are holding the piece you are stapling to the 3MM. That goes all the way through the finger. Sometimes it is best to take your time and not burn the midnight oil. The last boat taught me that.

We are taking a couple of days off to regroup and enjoy the brief summer we are having.

Dave M - that would be great if it was the midnight oil. However this was NOON, as in lunch time. No alcohol involved!

I am doing ok today John but it is a good excuse to take it easy for a couple days. I have been working on boats since last September and it is time to slow down.

Years ago, I had a friend who shall be nameless here was helping me and he did something just like that. The unexpected long staple left in the gun went all the way through his finger and out the nail. It held well and I actually needed a screwdriver to pry his finger free. My shop now has 9 pneumatic staplers, each clearly labeled with the only size staple it is allowed to use. We can get them for about $20 a piece from Harbor Freight so all were not much more than my single Senco gun was back in 1981. We can shoot 1/4 inch up to 1 1/2 inches with better safety now and don't have to double check to see what is actually inside the gun when I pick it up.

You guys all know it would not stop any of you from racing! some bandages a rubber glove taped around the wrist so it stays clean and dry of course you would need a good pit crew so you don't have to gas your boat or make adjustments ect. and you would be good to go!

                          Mike,
Are you going to chronicle the repair for us? I would like to see how you do it?

After looking at the pictures what usually takes out the side of the boat?? Driver or the water pressure??
