    Innovation

Great job Bob. The line has been blurry for many years now. So congrats to your innovation.

Boats like this will attract spectators interest, it looks like a space ship or something !

I noticed something, it is still a runabout.... it is just the deck that gives the apearance of a hydro. But then I did not see much of the bottom in the pics.

Nice job anyway, it never hurts to try something. Who knows, you might hit the next best design !

      Number 5

Regarding number 5: So that's what happened to the rest of the pizza! I think Andy said something about it on the trip home! Now that's funny stuff! LOL! Although Abby Pond on the tricycle was pretty darn funny too!

Wishing well to those nursing injuries or broke boats…thanks to all…and…

The only National qualifier was Scott Clark in CSH.

Turns out we only had seven legal starters in each heat in 20SSH so there was no qualifier from that class. There were (8) 20 Hydros registered but one of the eight did not start either heat so it meant that only (7) were actually in the field.

                Scott,
That does not make sence - per the rule book, you only need 8 starters for the class not 8 per heat. In the above example, you had 8 bona fide starters for the class. Assuming all finished, then you had 8 drivers receiving points for the race. Is there another rule or something else that I am missing?

[COLOR="Blue"] Rule 22.3.A.3.b pg 62 of the book pg 20 online
                i. Qualified drivers shall be chosen from each class with eight (8) or more bona fide starters.

Scott's saying only 7 boats started in each of the two heats.

Never had 8 bona fide starters in either heat. So...no qualifier for the Nationals.

The rule does not state heat but class. 7 starters in each heat but 8 boats started in the class. I understand what both you and Scott are saying BUT that is not what the rule states.

                      Scott...chime in here buddy.

There were never 8 bona fide starters in the class or either heat.

Bona fide starter...meaning the boat has to cross the start line. Scott said there were never 8 boats making a start in the class. 8 were registered, but that doesn't mean there were 8 bona fide starters.

                        Brian,
The same seven boats came out both times. Therefore there were never 8 different boats on the water. The same boat that did not start in Heat 1 also did not start in Heat 2, therefore only 7 bona fide starters.
If the 8th boat would have started either heat then you would have 8 bona fide starters even if you only had 4 in one heat and 4 in another but it has to be 8 different bona starters between the two heats.
Only 7 boats received points for the class since the 8th boat did not start either heat.

                        Scott

Hey Scott, how's the golf game?

I played in an outing Monday...hit them very well.

Hope we can hook up before we defend our National Title at Grass Lake again in 2012.

Would love it. Any chance you coming to Lock Haven over Labor day? If you are maybe you could golf in the morning and test in the afternoon on Friday?? Just a thought.
Golf game is very good. Am heading to the AT&T National on June 29th to see the practice round. Hope to get pics of alot of players, then golfing after that. We are going to Myrtle Breach in July for four days then heading to Wilson, NC for that race..Golf and boat racing...Keeps the whole family happy.

Did what I say about 20 Hydro make sense to you?

Oh yeah, I get the Lock Haven deal.

Enjoy your trips. I can't make Labor Day...big family outing always that weekend.

                              Sank a 35 footer for birdie Monday...what a putt.

I'm gonna miss the Open this weekend...racing in Constantine.

Enjoyed watching Kaitlyn in JH at Franklin.

                              Take care, bud.

Thanks Scott - I must have missed that the same 7 boats started both heats. Your explaination and rulling was perfect.
Thanks and see you for the Dash in Sept!
