            • Mike;

              Looks waaaaay better !

              Had bad luck at the nats (Sort of) ! With the wind delays, I was unable to stay for CMH ! Ended up leaving boat with Jerzee Holman to run, finished 5th ! Way to go Jerzee, with some better luck, he might have made the podium !

              See you at Eatonville !

                  Clark and Peters jumped the first heat and Palmquist won. Second heat had Miller out front with Palmquist in second. Looks like another B&H 1-2 finish to go along with a 1-2 finishes in both BMH and DMH. Palmquist also won the NBRA Nationals in CMH. If you guys need some more speed you might ask Brian what his secret is.

                      I am sure he would share his speed secrets to a tee with everyone too !! I wish it was as easy as having a decent boat !! If it were more of a variety of people would win Nat's....

                        I would of thought if you had dominate equipment in a class that you would want it to stay that way. I will give it a try.

                        • For us the season is over now for another year. C mod is a great class but for me it was disapointing. Just never got the boat going but we will give it another year with more testing. I did learn how to run in the back of the pack with the bad water and never went swimming this year so that was a plus.

                          If you are getting up there I found out that a laydown is the way to go. I don't have all the aches and pains after a race weekend anymore. It is great for me.

                          • Mike;

                            You made lots of progress over the year, a lighter boat will help a bunch too ! One of the drawbacks to us more 'Beefy" guys, we need light boats !

                            Hope to see you more next year, hope to make it "East" once or twice next year too !

                            Amen to the laydown boats comfort level too !

                            • Can someone please tell me what rpm's you are seeing with your pipe? I am trying to get a home-made pipe for the Y302 dialed-in correctly and the highest rpm's I've see so far is 7,200; going back to the stock exhaust and same everything then it's 6,500. I use my Y302 on a V-pad hull. I am from the Philippines and I used the 2-stroke tuner's handbook by Jennings as reference and also another book by Gordon Blair. My Y302 is stock except for the pipe. I have retarded the ignition timing to 4mm (~28-deg) because I didn't want to burn any pistons.

                              Should I be shooting for 8,000rpm? Dunno if that's attainable with stock port timings. Sparkplug noses are light tan in color, pipe is "singing".

                              Any help would be appreciated.

                              • Well I finally got the rpms up today.The rooster tail was hitting the pipe and was cooling it down so the tuned length needed to be shortened, a lot!!! I bet you all knew that........
