I know their was two groups competing for control of AOF. What was the outcome of this? Was their ever a decision? Or is it still the staus quo..

Of course you know I am not involved, but the last newsletter I got was based out of Texas. (Looks like Texas is up and coming when you add in the Lone Star club to the already existing STAR club, plus the officers of AOF there).
Said the ORIGINAL AOF, Inc, formed from NOA Incorporated in Oklahoma, 1969
    President, Dan Parker, Texas
    VP Competition, Bobby Laws, Ohio
    VP Tech, John Snell, Texas
    Safety, Howard Pickerall, New York
    Treasurer/Secretary, John S, Florida
Exec Dir East, Carl Staron Florida
    Exec Dir West, Rick Keller
I also heard there is still a Western Division of AOF. Not sure
The list of races for the Original AOF Inc was small, but rather impressive considering they haven't had so many in the last few years east of the Rockes. Bringing some Original AOF races back to New York is good news, for example.
I think it is pretty grass roots. Kind of a starting place. Looks like no competition for your NBRA which seems to be more series and professionally based. Maybe with the right people in charge, there is room. just my opinion.

        Suggestion:
Buy your own personal plan, I have been for a decade! Maybe your Obama friend can help you out! NOT!
I really doubt that insurance will stop you from racing no matter which organization you choose to run. You did mean 'cheap' and not 'cheep', did you not? Get a grip, nothing, will be cheap-cheep for the next few years, in regards to racing, unless you quit!
I'm buying new motor parts while prices are lower and invenntory is high, while our state is raising taxes on candy smokes, booze, and gasoline! So make sure your race budget includes more for the staples!!!!

Jerkizoid's opinion; trying to live up to my name one quip at a time!

If you do not have primary health insurance & still race relying on what the the sanctioning body provides, you need to have your head examined!

once a jerk always a jerk i guess,,,,,,,,,, there are lots of folks i know that race and dont have health insurance threw there jobs or are unemployed yes and still race some how,,,, or there work insurance from there employer is minimal... seems if we could get group rate like other organisations would be better, would rather pay extra 10$ or so at race for coverage than $200 amonth for there own then they prob wont be raceing at all..as for my experiances when had a accident apba insurance coverd all of it,,, yes i know alot more money but???? and nbra guys seem to have some decent insurance from what they say,,, soooo.... as for obama you must have voted for him,,, i know i didnt,,,

              Think Again

Last I checked APBA has a cap. They only cover you if you don't have insurance, and if you don't, they only cover you to a point. You may want to have a talk with someone in APBA who is familiar with the insurance policy and can talk to you in laymens terms. I sure don't know how to talk to them without an interpreter.

Dave, Check your facts about APBA K&K insurance. I believe it is $20,000 medical and is secondary. In other words if my personal insurance pays 80% then K&K will pay the other 20% up to $20,000.

I think that is what I was trying to say. I knew there was a cap, and it was secondary coverage. Do you know how much they pay if you have no other insurance ? I have no idea, and did not check with them. I am hoping someone in the know chimes in on it, as i mentioned previously.

Dave. APBA K&K coverage is in the APBA web site. Go to Resources then scroll down to Sanction & Site Insurance Forms then to 2009 Benefit Summary. It is all there.

Jeff Ruth, President of NBRA is stating that NBRA has $100,000 medical, no deductible. If this is the case, then all organizations should be using that policy. that is almost too good to be true. Certainly he knows what he is talking about.

As for the jerk statement you must have been talking to some of my other close friends out there.....maybe they will be kind enough & teach you how to use a thesaurus.

K&K did not pay any of mine from a couple years ago. They said they would only pay if I had no other insurance.
