I think website is down (partially) for updating. There are new forms and a new 2010 rule book. They were emailed to me last night as an attachment saying they were being updated. Just a thought! As was said somewhere else it is all done by volunteers not a paid staff so, maybe they need techincal support? Steve, I would be happy to email you a membership form if you need one since I got it electronically.
Welcome to hydroracer, we hope you enjoy your visit.

From what I am understanding the two factions of AOF may be using different rulebooks. The western faction, consisting of all officers from basically Spokane, WA, and Steve, whom, I doubt has heard a word (I don't think the mail goes out of Spokane) is using a rulebook that they will probably put up on the website.
The rest of the country, the original AOF has had to revert to an older version of the rulebook, not sure what year, but maybe 2000? Or 1999 or even before. I heard 1992 mentioned once. (You know lawyers). Apparantly that is on recommendation from someone, maybe an attorney? who is up on the Oklahoma laws of incorporation. Some things for many years were not updated in the incorporation so to make things legal, from what I am hearing, must go back and start from a starting date. Being non-profit in the frame that AOF is, is very strict at complying with all laws. JUst a formality really.
This does not mean that the two groups do not get along. It just means that the Spokane WA group will be using a different rulebook than the FL, NY, TX, etc group. Rules tht work best with their membership, I am guessing. So simple really, just get along.
And then again, since I am only hearing this information second hand, it could just be someone putting me on. And who knows, maybe the Spokane group contacted Dan Parker and Carl Staron and got the lastest information. Just rambling.
I do know for sure that there is a new application that can be had from Carl. I got one. It is very differnt than the one used in previous years and has more on the release of liability laws that have been updated. In other words, front looks the same but back has bigger words stuck in the tiny disclaimer prints. But then again, who reads that anyway?Last edited by YankeeRacing; 03-02-2010, 06:34 AM.

Also, I tried to contact the Spokane, WA faction of AOF by using the number provided on the website for Rick Keller. It is a wrong number. I finally got someone to call Rick and hopefully correct the contact number.Last edited by YankeeRacing; 03-02-2010, 08:18 AM.

Forms, Rule Books, and the like are all being updated on the website over the coming weeks. If you need a specific form from AOF, please feel free to email at dloomis@comcast.net, and I'll be happy to send them to you. You may also call Rick Keller, AOF Executive Director at 509-993-0145. The number listed on the website is his old home number. This too should be updated as the other changes are made. THE AOF website is www.aofracer.com.Dave Loomis
