  • Wetted Surface?

    Rulebook:
Immersed Surfaces: The wetted surface of the hull, including the bottom and chines, from transom to bow.

I assume wetted surface means ..... wet surface, when the boat is sitting in the water at legal weight ?
    Correct assumption ?

    Thanks,
    Dan

    Incorrect.
If you were to flip your boat upside down and stand on a ladder directly above it, every part of the boat you see, is a wetted surface.

I hope this makes it a little clearer.

Even the bow that sits statically out of the water is considered an immersed surface?
