1988 to 1994 has two big oval ports,
1994 to present have two big square ports with rounded corners and is leagle and carries the same part number
Reed boxes two different ones- one has an aluminum plate the reeds hit on, not leagle
The other has a plastic like surface the reed hit on- Leagle
1990 to present have the same cranks and same part number.
Pistons all the same 1988 to present
Rods are the same 1988 to present and same part number.
Carbs: there are so few numbers on them its hard to say if its new or old but all have a 1 inch bore on the 15HP.
Stator there are two different ones the early shows the windings on the coils- not leagle(1988 to 1998)
The other is enclosed in red plastic and is leagle(1999 to present)
Trigger is the same 1988 to present.
Switch Box 1988 to 1998 and has a hum on th side not leagle
Swithch box 1999 to present has a flat side and is leagle
Three different flywheel the first two only have two magnets and is not leagle 1988 to 1998
The only leagle one has the four magnets 1999 to present
The tuner pipe is the same from 1988 to present on the 15HP
The tower is the same from 1997 to present and is the same as the 6/8/9.9/15 and carries the same part number (take the sicker off)
This sould give you an idea what you can use and not use if anyone needs to know more just message me
