Depending on your driving style, you might also want to consider mounting the throttle in the deck. This does two things: It gives you some leverage in the turns and it also keeps the throttle cable out of the way of your feet and legs.

A couple more questions. Does anyone have an interior picture of the steering and hand throttle set up that they use. I also know some folks use foot throttles but I think this will not be an option for me. My feet will be most definately planted right against the transom or like Daren's laydown driving posture. feet catching some air!

                No pictures but...

If your using one of Lee's sidemount throttles, start with it as far down as it can go, and all the way forward up against the dash and see if that is comfortable.

Jet ski throttle from Lee. I connected it to one of his laydown throttles that I modified. It took a little getting used to but I like it.

I posted some other pictures of it in this thread http://www.hydroracer.net/forums/showthread.php?t=15640

                    Pic

Here is the set up I used on my laydown 350CCH and 850CCMH. I had the throttle mounted on the left side of the cockpit with an arm rest. It was a Lee Tietze laydown throttle. The rear pedal was the pipe puller.
