wyatt and i are bringing the freshly repaired jds back home this saturday. it's ready for lee's new super trick throttle and hardware... i know it's not a "new boat" but i'll post pics next week. wyatt learned how to spell "dirtbag" and wants to drive through marysville to practice his rattle can technique. he says january is too long to wait for a paint job.

send me a text with an address to mail you the rest of that hardware (hub & handles).

so were you really with a girl in college?

I think APBA, NBRA and AOF should require all boats be named

Sounds as if Spring Lawrence will be a hot bed for new-style 20SS, CSH, OSY boats going for records ... are you going to make it over from Montana? Keep up the nice work.

Just from our own personal experience we will not go to Lawrence again but hope to make it to a couple SOA races and hopefully Nationals in Oroville.

From the predictions fuel price sound like they will be up near 2008 prices so we will play it by ear.

Here are the latest pictures. I am going to coat the bottom with epoxy and then varnish and then time to flip it over onto the next jig.

Also I have included a picture showing the weather we have been having.

I notice that this boat is being built with a tunnel.
Your last MJR didn't have one did it?
                          What's the advantage?

You are right the MJR that I built last year didn't, I am working from a different set of plans that is what they call for. I am sure there is a reason. I did have to increase the transom height for the 102/302 engine but maybe somebody else can explain the purpose of the tunnel.

The boat has been modified in the transom area to mount a 302 and will be run in our club SLORA as a CSH Laydown. Should be turning it over tomorrow. The bottom is all epoxied and varnished.
