    That’s all I have.....
I tend to disagree to having an engine racing with all the privledges of a known engine without having rules.

In Mod the Sidewinder is a moot point, it is not allowed to race with open exhaust legally, and therfore would be DQ if it did. So it may or may not get fast enough to beat those with open exhaust. A rule Joann Ellis passed when she was the VP of MOD, no new engines approved can have open megaphone style exhaust. This is a new engine, so therefore would not be allowed to have an open exhaust.

I hope the engine catches on in stock, it is nice to have multiple engines available to race.

Does this rule apply to stinger type pipes? they are not "open megaphone style exhaust" pipes.

I don't think it does, just the open megaphone style exhaust. I am not 100% certain, you would need to ask the chief inspector for clairification.

          re questions asked by 14-H

"Conventional Wisdom" seems to indicate that a lawyer NEVER asks a question that he does not already know the answer to.

But maybe there is an exception to the rule. Maybe the "discovery" process was not working in this case.
