  • Looking for a new ride

    Hey everyone,
Ive been wanting to try out a csh for quite sometime now, definetly would need to have the twenty restricter in it since the fastest boat ive driven is only an ASR, if there is someone with a CSR that would willing to let me try it out then ill suck it up and go for that instead . Ill be at rockaway next month for the race on lake lytle and then at lawerence in september. So it would be good to talk in person at lake lytle first and set up plans to try it out at lawerence during testing.

    Thanks

Hey Tony. Their are a few CSR's in region 10 for sale (or lease). You may want to contact Jason Seather, or the Perman's (regarding lease).

I did look at a couple when i was at capitol but for now itd be to expensive to get a csh or csr and a yamato engine and we would have to get a new trailer also....

Thanks sean, sounds good to me, will you be at rockaway?

          CSR....maybe not

Sorry Tony, but at your size you would need to pack about 100 lbs of lead to make CSR weight, and that would make for a pretty ugly boat ride. It would be nice if 25SSR made a comeback in region 10, but I don't see much momentum for that happening. 20SSH is the class for you, and I'm sure you won't have any problem getting hooked up with a ride. Watching these young guys step up is one of my favorite parts of this sport, hobby, money pit, whatever it is

PS glad to see your little dunking at Milwaukie didn't dampen your enthusiasm.

We also have the B&H as shown in the back of my truck. That is how I transported my equipment to and from the races my first year. Not to bad a way to go for just a single boat. You may be able to run into a Yamato 80 for a bit cheaper than a 302 if you're just looking for the 20SSH class. I had one, but sold it this year. If propped right they are good on the shorter courses. Good luck!

not sure where you are located, but if youa re looking for a Yamato 80, here is one. its a old Chydro with a yamato 80 stuck on it. He wants $950obo for the whole package (boat motor trailer).

I think what Silas is getting at is if the engine is good that is a great price just for the engine. Throw the boat away

Smart choice. You can alway go up in class to CSH, and OSY with the same motor

Yeah, if the motor is good, 950 isnt bad, then you use the boat as firewood or give it away or something. and use the trailer for whatever. But the 302 is a much smarted choice.
