At our meeting last night, there was much discussion regarding the difficulty of scoring. Probably the biggest issue is being able to tell the difference between the 'C' boats and the Yamato powered '25s'. I've noticed that many boats don't have the class designation properly displayed.
We are aware that many entrants are 'put together' with many rigs borrowed and numbers changed, and that has always been the spirit of Top'O, BUT! Our club officials would like it to be known that: "In order to get an inspection sticker at this years Marathon Nationals, you will have to have proper 'class' identification displayed on your hull, regardless of class."
This will be announced at registration, and also at the drivers meeting. But I was asked to post this to help give racers a heads up on this important issue, and to help avoid a lot of last minute scrambling in the pits. The class designation should be placed in front of the numbers and be the same size as the numbers. The scorers thank you in advance for your cooperation.
