We got a 30 day extension at the Nat meeting last year so we could do the winter nationals at the end of April. Have you all forgot how bad the weather was year before last there, and it is planned a week earlier next year. This is North LA not Florida and it will most likely be bad weather. Who wants to drive a lot of hours and watch the wind blow and freeze. Evidently the obama decisions have started early.

              FYI: Winternationals

When we started the WINTERNATIONALS they were not NATIONALS...They were a race sponsored by Clyde Winters and George National....BUT they were always the weekend before Easter, at SPRING BREAK so teachers like Ernie Dawe and Ronnie Hill, could race and have a week off at the RIVER....Also, we knew that many, like the Selvidges, Jan Christ, Earl Garrison either taught school or went to school and they could come to GOLDEN SHORES to race, then return SLOWLY to Washington....and they did come...

The first three Winternationals sported 85 degree weather and close to $60,000 in cash for the three years we ran it....
