Anyone have any info on this race. The last I heard it was supposed to be in Pineville, Louisiana. Im just curious as to the dates/ whether it will be Stock AND Mod. or just one or the other. Ive been spending a lot of time off the site and a little concentrated on my dirt bike so I am a little lost on whats going on. Thanks guys for the help in advance.

2009 MOD & SO Winternats
The Winternats wil be on March 20-22, 2009. The dates are listed on APBA's wesite. Fri & Sat will be the Winternats & Sunday we will run for records. Those who attended last time saw how fast this water was. I believe we set 9 records last time. Ed Hearn.14-H

Speaking of reptiles, at the end of the 2007 season AOF held a national event at Pineville that was not well attended so not many folks experienced a somewhat disturbing situation on Sat morning. While setting up, a medium gator (6 feet ) was languishing about 20 yards off the beach from the pits. It was seemingly just watching us. Kids were in and out of the water and, while folks were aware of it's presence, we were not particularly concerned. I got tossed out of my boat in the first go that morning very close to where that critter had been hanging out. Needless to say, I didn't waste a lot of time getting into the rescue boat. We didn't see the gator during the racing througout the day. I have often wondered if he left the area or just went deep re-acting to the engine noise. Also wondered if he liked orange Kevlar.
