Holy Cow, that is way more than they had in Whitney Point at the Mod Nat's. True actual FEH at Whitney were only a small handfull. SOme Tohatus DSH's stepped up to run as well as a few DMH's which are of course legal engines to run in SEH. But for true power we all know the OMC 3 holer is about the most cost effect and fastest way to go.

Sure wish I could have made it this year, sounds like I missed out on the real SEH Nat's ! I hear the Herbert crew has their SEH smoking fast and will need someone to compete against soon ! Ralph and I might need to do some serious homework this winter to compete against the best rigs in the country.

Dave, he said 12 E hydros. 44 Mercs.

It may not be long before we have a full field of Super E hydros running at NBRA races though. That has gotten to be a pretty popular class.

Dave-- The 12 boats was actually in the E Hydro (44 c.i.). The SEH had I think 9 boats and a good race. Shane Hebert had motor problems all weekend and did not make it out of the pits. They built and re built their motor at least 3 times trying to make it work. I was really bummed for them, because I saw their GPS reading at Centralia and it scared me!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rotten Ralph did not make it this year. Bryan Tharp in a boat he was running for the first time put together two good heats and won overall, although Young Bert Hoefs won the first heat and just about beat the guys. The SEH had some good racing as well as the E Hydro with the full field of boats. Vernon Barfield got two great starts and won overall. Jason Summerall was fast, but got hung up in some traffic. Wish you would have made it..... Of course I need a rest after Whitney Point and Ponca City. See ya at Shelbyville.

Great pics, kinda weird seeing my boats on the water without me in them. Two other results I have heard so far are E Hydro Vernon Barfield 1st and C-Mod hydro Rick Miller 1st. Still wish I could have been there!!!!!!!!!!

I wish you could have been there too. We came up from Texas to watch and we helped your dad all day Saturday in the pits. I can't even begin to tell you how much fun we had. Living in Texas puts me a pretty good distance from any races so I hadn't been to a race since 1982. The sights and sounds brought back so many memories for me. To have my dad, my brother and my son there and to be able to share this with them is very special to me. My gear-head son now knows what a 44 Merc soound like. I have been trying to describe that sound to him for years.

We also met some really terriffic people...Jimmy Homfeld, Vicki Homfeld, Alan Owen, Dave Nichols...just to mention a few. A very special thanks to all who helpd to organize the race. We had an absolute blast and plan on coming back next year ( God willing ) if you bring the Nats to Ponca City again.
