So if the stocks don't get the points if they make the numbers up for the mods to get records eligibility or nationals point surely the mods aren't eligible for point either correct ?________________________

What part of Looper do people not understand, the little Tohatsu as it was called is 42 cu, inches the 44 Merc. is 43 cu inches . Now the 44 Merc is from a 1950 design nothing really has changed. The Tohatsu is the latest design and a Looper. It was said that anybody should be able to build a 50's design motor and out run a Tohatsu this may be true with todays rules.. If the Tohatsu is let in D MOD and keeps getting beat how long will it take for drivers to want the same rules as the Merc. 1 year 2 ? and then the Merc, drivers quit and you have about 10 Tohatsu motors running running then the only real MOD class left is dead. The Tohatsu drivers want 3 classes to run. How about if I buy a 250 PRO motor how many classes can I run ONE.Last edited by Danny Pigott; 04-09-2014, 12:57 PM.

Danny is right.. It has been a proven history that everything would be good now but in a couple years they will want more and more till the class is killed.. Like I said before I thought mod was for the discarded motors usually.. I don't think that is the case for Tohatsu yet..Mike - One of the Montana Boys

In NBRA we run the Tohatsu with the Mod 40ci Mercury. This is possibly one our most competitive classes. On any given heat it is usually a toss up as to which motor is victorious. Not saying this is what needs to be done in your organization but this is what has worked the best in ours.Gardner Miller

~~Oh, Dave…..so sorry to hear of your terrible misfortune!
Let me see what I can do to get you some much needed funds. I have a slush fund that I was saving money in to buy Muffy that new Artificial Leg she was waiting for, and to buy Hortense a new seeing eye dog (you know, ever since ol’ Chopper got lost in the flood, Hortense just hasn’t been the same)…..but I’m sure there should be enough left over after that to give you some much needed assistance.
Is $2500 enough? Usually I’m reluctant to wire such large sums of money (can’t be too safe on the Interwebs these days!), but I trust you so much….and I know you’re good for it. Would $5000 be better?
Things are going well here……the cabbage crop is looking good for the spring, and the cock fighting pit is getting set up nicely….we need to get you back so you can help me enrage the bantams before the big bouts!
So, just let me know about that money……

I then received this reply:
~~Thanks for the prompt response, Please you can have the money wire to me via western union, All you need is the name on my passport and present location below:
Name: David Anderson
Location: One Rizal Park,Luzon 0913,
Country: Manila Philippines
Once you are done with the transfer kindly get back to me with the western union Money Transfer Confirmation Number (MTCN) to pick up the money with my valid passport and get back home on time, Let me know if you are heading to the western union NOW?
I will check my email every 30 minutes for your reply.
Thanks
Dave
Not wanting to let poor ol' Dave down, I wrote this back:
~~You got it, my friend.
And I will get over to Western Union in two shakes of a lamb’s tail…..that is if I can find my car keys! Yep, you guessed it: That pesky chimp of mine Milhous has taken them again! Remember last time that happened! He ate them, and we had to feed him laxatives for 2 days before the keys “showed up!” And omigosh, the SMELL! Anyway, I’m searching high and low for them, and I hope they turn up soon.
Anyway, I’ll get there as soon as I can. So tell me a little about Manila! Is it nice there? Are there lots of Karaoke bars? I wish I was there RIGHT NOW with you, and we could do “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling” like we did in Tukwila that time…but I digress.
Oh, and if you get a chance, can you bring me some Imelda Marcos shoes? I hear she’s got lots!
Take care,
R-19
Unfortunately, I never got a response after that. My next request was going to be to ask "Dave" for a recipe for Capybara Lumpia.

Subject: HORRIBLE NEWS.......( URGENT HELP ).........DAVID DEWALD
Hello,
I really hope you get this fast. I could not inform anyone about our trip, because it was impromptu. we had to be in Philippines for Tour..The program was successful, but our journey has turned sour. we misplaced our wallet and cell phone on our way back to the hotel we lodge in after we went for sight seeing. The wallet contained all the valuables we had. Now, our passport is in custody of the hotel management pending when we make payment.
I am sorry for any inconvenience caused, but i have only very few people to run to now. i will be indeed very grateful if i can get a short term loan from you($2,450.00 USD). Or what ever amount you can afford to help with, this will enable me sort our hotel bills and get my sorry self back home. I will really appreciate whatever you can afford in assisting me with. I promise to refund it in full as soon as soon as I return. let me know if you can be of any assistance. Please, let me know soonest.
I will check my email every 30 minutes for your reply.
Thanks for your understanding,
Dave
