I thought we had explained the reason to do it. We were having issues with the original version, the only way to fix this was to make changes. Try reading the navigation tip thread, it really works just like the old site. Same software vendor just a newer edition..

Matt what exactly are you looking for? Did you go to the today's posts tab? That will show you the active threads in order from newest to oldest! The activity stream does make posts hard to follow I agree. Unfortunately there isn't a way to put today's posts on the home page that I am aware of short of using the tab. Unless vBMark knows of a way.
Welcome to hydroracer, we hope you enjoy your visit.

If you let me know some some examples of what's proving difficult I can see if I can suggest anything.
I've already put Today's Posts back on the Home Page so it's similar to how it was before.Mark

I will admit, I like the older version better, seemed more personal. But I am always one who like to see things move forward. I will get used to the new version and like it as well as the older one, just takes time to get used to the new format. Once I figure out all the little tricks from the tips thread I am sure it will make it easier. Thanks for keeping this site up and running.Dave Mason

Here is a suggestion for Mark, when I am scrolling through threads and find one I want click on and go read the latest comments, it always takes me to the first page, sometimes on a 25 page or more thread. In the other version it gave me an option I think, or it just took me to the last page. I had a notification that someone posted on a thread I comment on, clicked on it within the notification, and it still took me to the first page of that thread, rather than the last, or at th eleast that specific comment. Is this something that can change ?Dave Mason

In the Today's Posts list, unread threads are in bold, and they will have a little icon to the left of the tile, like a double down-pointing arrow. Clicking this takes you to the "first unread" post.
Alternatively, go right over to the right of the line, and where the last poster details are is a similar icon except it points to the right. Clicking this takes you to the LAST post in the thread.
That works for proper, full replies...the mini-comments are a bit trickier as they are embedded with an actual post.

Dave, Mark is right it just looks different in as much as it doesn't say last post, it is an icon that if you hover over it will say last post and clicking on it takes you there. I found it by accident a couple of mornings ago and posted it to the Navigation Tips thread.
I didn't know about the first unread post one however that is cool since everyones will be different depending on when they visited last.
