Issues with Hydroracer

seems as if the "PM" section has been reduced and not as big of storage anymore? It says my PM section is full and cannot send anymore, unless I delete half my saved messages....

Should be the same but I will check the settings when I get home. Any change was unintentional. Thanks for the heads up.

Mark if you see this before I get home, please can you check. Should be 200 message capacity inbox as in prior version. Thanks

I am still having the same problems with the PM section.............also, it is really annoying having to scroll half way down the page to get to the discussions, which in my opinion, the ones on the front page should be the current ones...........hell, I was told I missed atleast 3 new topics today.............I know it is probably not what you want to hear, but the old site was MUCH more easier to navigate and provided more interaction............this new one does not hold my interest at all for very long...especially with the long times it takes to load the pages.....

was set to 150, i have increased it to 200.
Also worth users checking trash and sent items also as these do count too.

Okay, Mark, I got the notification at the top of the page that I had received one message (yours). I clicked on that, which took me to the message center where I was able to read your message. But then I went to "Inbox" under the Message Center heading, and clicked on that to see if I could read your message, or any of my old messages from there. Got the same result as before: MY message is displayed, but I can't get to the response.

I'll send you another PM with my password, as you suggest.

I've checked it out, and it's working fine, you're just missing a step due to the new way it's laid out.

After clicking "Inbox", you're actually just seeing a list of messages, complete with a preview of the first message in the thread.
What you need to then do, is click the title of the message, which I've circled in red in this image.



That will then give you the fill message in its "thread" with all the replies.

Just wanted to compliment you on the new format. This is above and beyond anything I had envisioned. My only problem was it took me almost a week to realize that my old link was not working anymore. I just thought it was taking you a while to get it done as you had suggested it might prior to the change. Once again, great job.

I noticed that not all the latest forum discussion is showing up in the "Last Post" section of the forum main page (for example, under General Hydroplane * Runabout Discussion shows "Extended Gas Tank for 302" as last post whereas "Facelift for Nationals" is actually the latest post. Is it a refresh issue for "Latest Post" column or ?

Otherwise - great job on site rebuild!

I think this may be due to the fact it sits in a module, and these are cached for a period.
I've tried disabling the cache, see if this improves it.

The problem with the upgrade Dan is then our site will lose its home page and look like everyone else.. I don't want the site to look like Boatracing Facts.. Then no one will use it.. yuk
