  • Howard still waiting for a reply...

Hey Howard, speaking of magazines. I’ve been going through my collection of old propeller magazines that go back to the late 50’s… tell me again what years you held any National officer position. And I’m not referring to your club or region…I want to go back and read those years and see what your ideas were back then when you held a position in the APBA office.

Don't worry the real accounting facts will not be provided under the current APBA leaders, but in time it will be known and only then can this subject be put to rest!

Nothing is being hidden in my opinion.

They have told us what the plan was and what we should expect from Crowne.

The profit/loss statements are out there to see...

      What is being hidden?

Here is something to think about...Maybe just maybe, they are in a professional contract and can’t disclose that number because of professional etiquette? Something you probably don’t understand.

I'm just thinking from the contracts I have seen here at work...I’m just suggesting that maybe there is a reason…Other than just wanting to piss you off.

      • How's about youse guys quit spitting at each other and just get busy writing up some coherent agenda items for the agenda. Whose agenda... did you ask? Pick a committee or commision. And, while yer at it.. keep this thread going. I enjoy reading it.

AND.... if you really want to rock the status quo or the BOD.... I challenge you to have yer crap together enough to stand up during a meeting and push your point across.

Remember this quote attributed to our old departed friend, Albert (Einstein) : "Great spirits always encounter violent resistance from mediocre minds"

        • Which side (spirits) are you referring to Alex...........

........ with the Einstein quote, as there does not seem to be much cooperation coming from the APBA side to this point, for information that would be helpful in making any type presentation, or much interest in sharing that info on the new "digital blackboard".

It is difficult to have a meaningful conversation with someone who won't talk back and disclose information that would be helpful in going to the "outhouse" to collect it.

These requests for information have been going on for over a year. Perhaps an enema to "loosen things up a little"?

            Don:

As been pointed out on the thread on the APBA social page, you cannot determine the true story/picture by the profit/loss statement presented on the APBA site.Several much better economic minds than I have made the same comment and pointed it out.

            Re the possible confidential agreement:

If this be the case, why not just say so (not that is would alleviate a lot of suspicion because of the names involved and the time gone by since it became public). He has posted on the APBA site several times regards his involvement in the contract, and his reasons for doing so, and that has never been mentioned, by him or any other member of the Management or BOD of APBA. He, and others, have taken much heat by not divulging this information. I have a hard time believing someone would not have taken this "easy way out" if that were the case.

The only thing that has been said up front by any APBA figure on the site, is "the cost of vendor contracts is not disclosed," by Mark Wheeler, when the specific question was asked by several after his statement it was in the statement, and it was not.

It is misleading at best, to keep insisting that the information is or has been published in the profit and loss statement, as it is plain from several posters with accounting experience that the statement (that the specific cost of the Crown contract is in the profit and loss statement) is not correct, and that is obvious if you look at the statement. Someone with a crystal ball might be able to figure out some approximate costs (as someone did and asked if he was correct, and did not get an answer) but specific costs are not published there.
