Back in 1965, the ads said "choice.... not chance... the US Army!" I took a chance instead and joined the Air Force (probably why I'm here today), but after a 22 year ride it was enough. Now, I've been retired for more years than I put in, have a 14yr old that I'm extremely proud of, and am right back in APBA where I started.... racing a D Hydro.
I'd like to thank everyone who recognizes that it is the military folks today, fulfilling their sworn obligation to this country who are keeping us free. I just wish our elected politicians and appointed ambassadors would understand better the consequences of pulling the trgger, and engaging our men and women in uniform in some inane conflict. For which they have budgeted less than adequate money for follow-on care of the "veterans" who have served.
