          Goodbye PeeWee

We said our farwells to PeeWee this afternoon on a beautiful warm
day in Ottawa, when our thoughts should have been wondering
when the first testing would take place on our frozen lakes.
Kelly's funeral home was packed with friends and relatives and
there were few dry eyes when the service ended. Racers came from
long distances to attend, the Websters from Toronto, the Latters
from Montreal and the Neumans from NY State, all there to say
goodbye to PeeWee. This was great testimony to the effect the
PeeWee had on all of us. I like to think that PeeWee is sitting beside
a perfect lake impatiently waiting for the next heat to start and grinning
          ear to ear. Regards Michael

This was one guy who had lived every minute of his shortened life. His family and friends from young to old, male and female sure had some great stories to share. The Chapel was full, with the rest of his friends in the hallways. This "live life to it's fullest" sure showed with the slide show. RIP my friend.

Yeah... like I recall last year down at Kingston NH helping Pee Wee get the prop off Brian Rossman's rig after it sheared a pin and jammed bigtime and Alan Akerstrom saved the day with a prop-puller he had made........ but it was Pee Wee, having jumped right on it that got things moving....with only minutes to spare.

Crystal Lake this year wasn't quite the same without him, but it was a great time. I'm sure he was watching, his spirit was there.
