Memories of Racing Next to Marc

I will truly miss my dear friend and fellow PRO hydro racer, Marc. He consoled me and spent some quality time with me when we lost our son in 2007 to a very similar accident. He lit a candle for Rob and I shall do the same for him. What a shock!

My best racing memory is a picture of Marc, Jon Steen, and I standing on the 2006 AOF Nats podium after the 350 Hydro Class race -- Marc is thoughtfully smiling at his award after winning 1st Place. Rest in Peace brother Marc; God will now take care of your soul and all future needs.

Cheri, our words cannot express true depth and understanding of your loss of your beloved Marc from this terrible incident. Whatever we can help with, tell the folks at CORA or Lee and I will be there to help you get it done. We love you and we will miss Marc. You and your family are in our prayers.

I just had a very nice conversation with Cheri on the phone. She wanted me to post and say that "her heart hurts" for the loss of the boat racing family.

She was in good spirits, and is absolutely blown away by the love of the racing community. And as Mike stated above, there will be a gathering next Friday the 18th which is open to everyone.

          RIP Marc Moberly R-58
