                Thank You, and Wow!

THANK YOU Dan for this website's development and upkeep over the years. I think the format and graphics are absolutely first class. If it was not for this website I would have never met the Cremona's and bought the Mostes in Florida last year. Also, I have made friends with boat racers all over the US and some in Europe (some of which I have never met face-to-face yet.)

I am proud that Teresa and Mike are taking over the website (another item on the "bucket list", Mike?) The special thing to me is that I know Mike as a great person and true friend in boat racing, and I'm looking forward to knowing Teresa better. I am sure they will make this site continue to be the quality forum that it currently is for the international powerboat boat racing community.

                Warmest Regards,

                  Al,

Have to say this was probably more on my "bucket list" than Mikes. I am kind of the computer geek in the family. However, he didn't object to the idea. My thanks to Dan for giving me this wonderful opportunity.

So, bottom line, to have the opportunity to do something that I love and enjoy merged with something that Mike loves and enjoys is stellar!

Dan has set the bar pretty high, I hope I can do 1/2 as well as he has with the site. Basically Mike will be the Hydro Guy and I will be the IT Gal.

My experience has been (before I met Mike) Unlimited Hydroplanes. I spent a memorable summer in the pits with the Pride of Pay n'Pak and Pay n'Paks Little Buzzard and Tommy Fults before he was killed in San Diego (if memory serves me correctly). That was after all in 1970. I met Bill Muncey and his family, Dave Heerensperger and Bernie Little.

Did R/C Hydroplanes with Mike after we were married and later with Mike and April. Never ran one myself, I wanted the Little Buzzard and it was already registered by someone else. Really loved Mike's cabover Bardahl that he built and raced, it was probably my favorite boat. April's was the Miss KYYX, of course she liked it because it had a woman driver.

This has been my first experience with Outboard Hydro's but I have been having a blast. Banks Lake found me in shorts, in the lake, catching boats as they returned from heats, between taking pictures and setting up video cameras!

Looking forward to being able to take my computer, camera and the video stuff and do live updates from some races.

                  Teresa

                    Holy Cow!!!

Is that what I get for not making it to Banks?!?!

Congratulations you two, I'm sure you'll do a fine job. It's cool to see someone who knows first hand the benefits of this fine site and to step up to make sure it stays a great resource for the community.

DAN - THANK YOU... for all your hard work over these years. You've done a great job and though I've only spoken (typed) with you a few times, it was a pleasure.

Thank you Teresa and Mike for keeping this site going. I wish you well. And, Dan I have to say after 16 years out of the sport I give you 100% of the credit (or blame) for bringing me back. Hydroracer is in my opinion the best site on the internet!

Thanks again for all your support. It really means a lot to us

At this point I am kind of living the site to get familiar with it. (Dan's still holding my hand.) As I get more confident you will probably see more activity generated by me and more postings.

I am sure that you guys can teach me a lot of stuff about boat racing terms! I called something by it's wrong name in talking to Mike last night and I got "the look"! I still see a lot of widgets, thing-a-ma-bobs, and dohickeys not kill switches, skid fins, steering bars, etc. (Pretty good on hand me the such and such sockets, wrenches, pliers, etc. Now want to talk GPS, radar gun, camera and lens set ups, computers and I will probably hold my own.

Talk CSI and EMT and I am all over it!
