I would only be able to go the the 7th because of student teaching reasons. Dad is on board with that plan too. We talked it over and would also like to stay east, even though I'm west. Grand Marais was our Consensus. Though you guys could ride to Gwinn on Friday if you decide on a different weekend and see me teach.

where is Ross
I assume Mike and the gang are in for the 7th.
If so I assume their vote will be Strongs. If they can not make it there are more amenities in trout lake.
I will check on hotel rooms in both locations while we wait for the Ross vote.
How many do we have?
Fox, Fox, Hagerl, Hagerl, Howard, Howard, Frank, Glasses, Pearson, Hemp, Hemp, Kenny, Warnock, Dell, Kargus, Dudeck, Hamlin
that is 17.
?Dean(are there #4 stickers left), Ross?qty, Jim Hagerl?, who else?Last edited by Fox; 12-08-2008, 07:17 AM.

When you guys are talking about Grand Marais are you talking about Grand Marais Minn, just north of Little Marais?

I will be at the cabin and will have my usual gang. Call and reserve your bunk. If you need help with the rooms I can get you in touch with the hotel owners in Strongs. Lots of floor space if you bring the beer. Cant wait, they have over 2 feet there already. Shoot me a private message if you need help. Mikeymike ross

Strongs it is.
With the Ross gang in for sure I think we may be up to about 20-21.
So Strongs, MI it is unless there are any objections in the next day or so.
the Wisconsin gang will make their own reservations and the fox's will coordinate with the wild ones and the other michigan gang.
Still no word from a few stragglers. Dean, Jim Hagerl. etc

t.kerr/ross camp
I have not been on my (new) sled since accident.
I have only talked to mike, donnny (cousin), & dean briefly about sledding.
we as a whole have to get through this. it is hard and might get harder
for some as the snow falls.
I think I speak for most (the ross camp), this year I think we should sled within our backyard, considering the situation
money is very tight in MI, as is everywhere.
stay at mike's cheap and try and get through this year might be best.
just my thoughts,
T.Kerr/52M
p.s. will make some calls for rooms if we need them.
Cow Patty shacked up some of us last time and im working on her for this year (if we need the room)

Here is the contact info for everything in and around Strongs. Strongs General Store( They have a couple of small little cabins that work great for a few guys). Clarks Motel has several rooms of different sizes(right next door). Tell Patty or Steve at Strongs General Store that you are coming up to snowmobile with Bubba and Mike down on Salt Point Rd and they will cut you a good deal. This is were you will gas up, buy beer booze, food snacks and so on. We patronize these guys huge as they rely on our business. Tell them you are with the Boat race group and I will call and let them know you will be calling. Going to be fun and I agree with Terry Kerr that it is going to be a little awkward til this passes. I will probably take a small group and take it cool. I know a place we can put a K Ladd momentum at a place he took everyone to. Let me know if you need any other help.

If your going to come ride all the info and phone numbers are on this thread. Call Steve or patty at the General Store for info. They are a wealth of knowledge in the area. Was up over Christmas they got 4 to 5 ft on the ground allready. Also Biskitscloset.com is a website a guy has for that area. He gives trail reports and if you hit the live web cam you can see what it looks like at the groomer barn which is about a 1/4 mile from the corner. Mikeymike ross
