Andrew here down in Naples, first bands are hitting, little bit of wind. Went by Wal-Mart last night to get a couple candles just in case our power went out and the place was quite the scene.

By the way, if you have the chance to get a kite or already have one, me and my fiance flew one when hurricane charlie came through and had a blast. It's ideal for the outskirts of the hurricane before the meaner gusts start hitting.

Looks like 20,000 without electricity in collier county. Although the power flickered here a few times we never lost it. So much for the candles, my apartment is gonna smell like cinnamon buns and mangos for a week.

I just talked with Carl Staron. They are hanging in there, just rain and some wind. He thinks the worst is yet to come but shouldn't be too bad.

He said he thought he saw Andy flying above Lake Apthorpe hanging on to a kite string and laughing hysterically!

Glad you guys are alright Andy!

The (waters) risin' and the Gin's a gittin' low

So much for Eire Canal song's, now I'm tring to remember that old folk somg about the Johnstown Flood!

I'm sitting here watching the water rising all around the house. The various drainage ditch's have grown up and joined into one pond, while the street out front is almost ready for White-Water rafting. If it was fifty degree's colder I could pretend it was the Black River, Watertown N.Y.!

Fear not I am well supplied! With Beer!

                  Hey Howie,

Tell Pete to get my boat inside!!! haha. Well, we know it won't "float" away. It might "sink" away.

                  Steve.

                    Steve,

We put it into my pool so the pool wouldn't blow away and that maybe the rest of the decking would come off easier!

We are out in the garage putting the bead seat into my Seebold, so here I sit in the boat looking at HR with the epoxy cures and the vacuum pulls for 35 minutes.

Wow, looks like our right coast friends are in for a rough night.
The radio said 51 homes got tornado damage over there.
You guys doing alright over there?

I just saw one model showing it going into the Atlantic to repower then head due west across Orlando and out into the gulf. Another model shows Jacksonville getting it as a Cat-1.

Middle coast and Right coast please keep us updated on how you guys are doing! PLEASE, don't hesitate to call for anything!

Duval county has closed schools for today and possibly tomorrow. Right now it is just a steady rain and light winds. We (Jacksonville) expect the worst to hit tomorrow.

So far all is well on the East Coast. The 2nd round has begun, winds kicking up gusting to 40+mph and the rain came back...

Thanks to all who have offered there assistance. We are all doing fine. The girls are home and I am stuck at work having to go out and play in the storm when called upon!

                            Hope everyone else is well.

I was just watching some coverage that showed kids paddling inner tubes and kayaks down the street. It said at least 13 inches of rain fell in the Melbourne area.

Glad you folks are doing well on the right coast.
I talked to Carl Staron and he said they are drenched but all is well.

You guys on the top of the state take care! Don't hesitate to call!

I still have lots of cheese-whiz and sardines I can share

So far 18-24" of rain reported in my County with more on the way. They used the canoe / kayak to rescue an 85 year old couple from their house that was surrounded by the water. That location is about 5 miles or less from the Tetro's.

Going to bed very soon in case they start calling 911 and sending us out all night to check on folks.
