Rest in Peace Terry. May you win a few on the other side.
There is one reassurance. He died doing something he obviously loved, and had a strong passion to help those around him. Take condolence in this fact that he went out a winner doing what he loved to do.
Prayers for the family and friends are certainly being said.
My prayers are going out to the family of Terry Fiorelli, I did not ever meet him, but have been building his engines for the last 3 years and I consider him one of my friends. The Hall Racing Team sends their condolences to his family. I will miss talking to him.
Thank you Robert. We were able to sit and watch and listen---- and remember-- during the trubute. Terry had a passion and compassion for the sport. We all have the passion, but the compassion sometimes eludes us. Not Terry and the great things being said about him proves that he did give more to the sport than he took.
Terry had a way of lighting up a room when he walked in, a race course when he was racing, and even a phone conversation. He will be missed. Now it is time to go on and remember, as Dave said, he died racing, his passion and compassion. We all die. Let us go how we want. Read the footnote on Dan Lawrences' posting. Terry certainly slid into home with the chocolate and the martini.
Terry, if you are reading this, and I am sure you are, please say hi to all of our boat racing friends and relatives who are there with you. Give a hug to my Dennis who died the same way a few years back. I wish I could race because if I could, I would chose to go in a boat race too.
We love you Terry.

Connie, you said what most of us feel perfectly. If Terry was here he would be impressed and would agree that you have described his racing career to a "T" if he wasn't so modest. He was always so busy at the races that I was amazed that he actually had time to race his own boat.
For those of us that were new he always answered our question and he would even let anyone drive his boat if they were interested. I remember after my first race he said he was ready to let me move up in the starts. I appreciated that and since then I have never looked back. Someone will have to fill some big, big shoes.
I have known Terry since 1985 and he was one of the most incredible people I have ever had the priviledge to know. I know he loved the sport beyond comprehension and I know that in all aspects of his life he is irreplaceable. A person like Terry doesn't just happen along, he was put here to touch peoples lives and make some part of them better. I will miss you Terry, you were one in a million. Charlie Wakefield
You are correct, the SLORA race at Ione, WA. has been canceled. The service for Terry Fiorelli will be held at the Redeemer Luther Lutheran church at 11:00 am Saturday Aug. 2
From I-90 in Spokane take the Pines exit and head south passing 32nd you will see an Albertson's grocery store, just past that on the left will be two churches one a Mormon and the other the Lutheran church.
I am so sorry I will miss the service, as we will be in New York for the stocks. Can you post an address to send cards, is there any charity or donations that are in lieu of flowers? Mom and Howard are heading home from DePue and may be in Spokane for the service, but they aren't sure yet.
Thanks,

Please Confirm Church Address for Memorial Service
Ron,
I can't find the church web link or Spokane address as you describe it on the Lutheran Redeemer churches website. I can only find a Redeemer church in Spokane Valley near the wildfire area. The "Holy Trinity LCA Church" at 2511 S. Pine is the only Lutheran church on Pine Street that I could find using Dex. Is that the church you are referring to in your post above? Could you confirm the church name and address please? Thanks.

Reason: Added church name
Take Interstate I-90 east through Downtown Spokane (past the exit you take to go racing) to the Pines Exit. Go right (south) after exiting the freeway and follow until the light at 32nd. Go Straight through the light at 32nd and the church is located behind the Albertsons (on your left) that you can See from the light of 32nd ave. Don't worry, not much else out there. You can't miss it.
