Russ, to be honest I forget all the hockey school in the thousand island region.
I do remember playing Jr. B about 5 or 6 years ago with the South Grenville Rangers and Leo Boivin (played for the Bruins a while ago) would come into the locker room every once in a while to wish us good luck. And also playing summer hockey out of Bonnie Castle allowed me to meet Guy Herbert and Robert Esche. And I can't forget, playing in Kingston, ON allowed me to meet "the toothless wonder" Doug Gilmour.
Hockey is very much alive and kicking in upstate NY and southern ON.

      Fishin'

Ice fishing on the St. Lawrence river has to be a top 10 thing to do.
Fishing on any frozen body of water for that matter!

      That is some great fun!

Now that's a great thing to do, I went today and caught some nice trout. Did I mention it was 80 degrees!

          Done all of that

The aches and pains almost daily remind me of all the hockey I played. The arthritis in my hands is acting up today (it was below zero here this morning), reminding me of all the ice fishing Ive done sitting on a bucket in the dark. I've never even minded shoveling out after a hefty snow storm. However, the top of my list is occupied by sitting on the beach in Mexico, with the warm breeze and a cool drink in my hand.

Michigan and Wisconsin will be represented big. There are some OPC boys from the south coming. How about them boys out east? Mikey

                    Gulf coast OK, but iffy.

Hey Richard, I've been to Biloxi on several occasions (like at Thanksgiving and over New Year's) and the best I've seen was about 70 degrees. One time it was sleeting and trying to snow on Christmas day. I went out on the beach the next morning and the sand was frozen hard. We had 90+ and raining cerveza over New Year's in Ixtapa. I really like the Gulf Coast, but Mexico still will be my first choice.

Guess you're right there Mike , i just had to many San Diego 70 degree winter days i guess so i could take it. Maybe i'll see you at a few races in the new year.

What is it with boat racers playing net? I too stop the odd puck. This picture was from a charity game I played against the NHL Old-timers infront of 10,000+ fans. After the game I shared a beer with NY Islander goalie, Billy Smith.

                          Gotta' Love It!!!

I admire anyone that plays that position i used to ask my cousin why she wanted to do that at that age, i think about 17, i wasn't good 'nuff to be a forward, big 'nuff to play defense, or smart enough to know sometimes you don't even have to skate.!!!

add question , who was Willie Oreah, don't know about spelling, Watched a few semi-pro games myself.!!!

When the lakes are frozen we go for a motorcycle ride.

                              Deer Hunting

In November took this nice buck out of the Ozark National Forest in Arkansas! (My back yard) Love to deer hunt but boat racing is number 1.

                                nice deer

It looks like a 10 right? How are the deer numbers around that area? What were you shooting?
