Russ, to be honest I forget all the hockey school in the thousand island region.
I do remember playing Jr. B about 5 or 6 years ago with the South Grenville Rangers and Leo Boivin (played for the Bruins a while ago) would come into the locker room every once in a while to wish us good luck. And also playing summer hockey out of Bonnie Castle allowed me to meet Guy Herbert and Robert Esche. And I can't forget, playing in Kingston, ON allowed me to meet "the toothless wonder" Doug Gilmour.
Hockey is very much alive and kicking in upstate NY and southern ON.
