I use two 30D bodies. One with a 400mm 5.6L and the other I use a 70-200mm 2.8L IS. Both lenses are tack sharp but I like the 400 better. Sometimes its a little too tight to fit everyting in the frame so I switch back and forth between them as needed Canon makes a 100-400mm that would probably be perfect for this type of shooting on a single body.
