    Just got home

Well just finished the long trek home. Our story was pretty good. Pat got the call at 430am. Well I had just got to the hotel room at 3am.....!

We drive down to the pits from Binghamton and find our trailer is one of the last in the water, water up past the tires (enclosed). No water in the trailer yet. A rig was just pulling up to grab it. We got there just in time to realize there was a boat in the trailer not tied down (could have been interesting). So Austin VanOver and I hopped in the trailer to hold the boat down, while the trailer was pulled up to dry ground.

Next was the Goehring/Gowin trailer (8 boat rig with box). There were tools all under the box including the box's bottom piece used for travel. Before we left the area we grabbed as many tools as we could including a saw and box (full of water/tools). We hauled out and the trailer came off the truck because the ball was not the right size. We end up putting the hitch on the ball and 5 or so of us rode on top of it to keep pressure.

It was a crazy when we showed up and it started getting crazier when we realized we needed to evacuate the entire park. We have 8 boats, plus equipment to puzzle piece back into the trailer. It was interesting, but loaded it up in 1.5 hours!

It was a great show of how awesome boat racers are! Thank you everyone who pulled up our boats on carts before we got there!

Good to be home. Just drove pasted the 2014 nationals site in Moses Lake. 80 degrees and great racing conditions. See everyone there in about 354 days!
