Recommendations for Wakefield area Motels

Does anyone have recomendations for places to stay for my daughter and I when at Wakefield for the Nationals. You know: liked them, hated them, too costly. We have never been there, any and every comment would help.

I like Indiandhead Resort; restaurant, bar, pool..plus it's race headquarters.

Anyone have any word on the golf course? Last I heard it wasn't open??!! Boo!

Indianhead Ski Resort is best place to stay.

Indoor pool, hot tub, game room, bar...race HQ. Nice place to stay.

How many Stock Nats has Wakefield held since 1990? I may have only missed one since '90.

Wakefield Testing

We have had several inquiries about testing Sat & Sun before the actual insured test day Monday Aug 1st.

APBA/BSOA own Sunday Lake effective Sat July 30 & 31. As there will be no rescue available and these days are not insured there will be NO testing on Sunday Lake.

You can find a local Lake for testing at your own risk and subject to Mich State law.

It is called Edward stays in while the wife goes out!

And practice keeping drunk guys away from your room. With 4 girls in the mix your going to need motion detectors with trail cameras to keep track of who is sneeking in and out of your house. Just got our reservations for the nats and were told there were only 3 sites left for RVs. If that's your pleasure you better get on it now or be left twisting in the wind.

You can call the City for reservations at 906-224-4481. This includes tenting also.

City Campground

The Wakefield city campground is on Sunday Lake on the same side as the pit area and adjacent to Eddy Park.
