Grass Lake on Monday

Well this morning I posted the skies looked great, they were. The sun was out, it did not rain a bit. But the wind blew and blew and blew. The white caps continued until they called off testing to let it die down. Testing began again, and the wind started again. The funniest thing happened at the end of the test session, Joe Zolkoske decided to take a ride and get the layout of the course. When he got in the boat it was scarey, the wind quit, and the water calmed. Of course he was the only one on the course, everyone else had been beaten up all day and called it quits. He was the only driver all day to get a great all out run on the course. I guess this is why he is called "SUPERMAN!"

Drivers Meeting occurred later in the evening, 330 entries. Pics to follow.

All I can say is WOW. What a great day of testing. The water was not ideal but everyone stayed dry and MHRA went thru the testing schedule like clock work. You had better been on time to run and you had better been prepared to make the nec. changes to your set up in the aloted time. Great fun at the sportsman club for the drivers meeting. Skeet shooting available to anyone for $8.00 for 25 rounds with guns provided by sportsman club members. The kids out shot the adults!Must be all those video games payed off finally.
The final entry count for this Stock,J nationals was 330 enties !!! Just a very cool start to a great nationals. Enjoy the pictures. Will post more Tues.
