        J Driveing tips

With over forty year experience, I believe these are things to think about when competeing:
        1. Be ready, you never know when they may change the schedule.
        2. If possible, test your prop before the J testing period, if that is not possible, then stay close to your pit area so that you can get back in a timely fashion.
        3. Come out of the pits and turn right on to the course then turn with the wind to help you get on plane.
        4. It is not necessary to hold full throttle to get on plane, but a forward and feather of the throttle often works better than full throttle.
        5. If there is time to test two props then have help lined upped to make a quick change.
        6. Listen to the referree, he should tell you where you can mill while waiting for the one minute signial. Do not go so far from the clock you can not see it.
        7. Most accidents in the J class occurs in the straight-a-way, because they do not line up parallel to the straight-a-way bouys. Parallel is being continously at equal distance to a line, which is the line formed by the three bouys. Those bouys are usually the last bouy on the second turn, the starting bouy and the first bouy of the first turn.
        8. By rule, you must be parallel untill you reach the starting bouy, but it has been my experience accidents occur when a driver changes lanes without the proper space.
        9. Blocking is when a driver changes lanes to avoid being passed. This is not good sportmanship.
        10. The most important rule is to always look over your left shoulder to see if any one is occupying the space that you are going to turn into.
        11. Last but not the least is have fun and know you have a great support team that loves you.

141 Pre-entries received. Great job and thank you to everyone who sent them in, it will make registration alot easier for the scorers! The entry list above should be all up to date.

Small schedule change for Saturday. Hopefully this will be the final version after 10 attempts at it.
