        Info: Clarksville

I spoke with Carol Brown - contact @ Clarksville. The entry fee is $35.00 for the weekend for outboard classes. They are having a meeting on Wednesday to discuss further the tow money question.

Carol will call to give an update after the meeting.

        Thanks

The C stock classes are some of the premier classes and are worthy of racing at any limited event. The level of competition is probably the highest. If you are there for the race and not just points, CSR's are legal CMR's. You won't be turned away if you really want to race.

If you go to one of our races as a spectator and watch other spectators ... the races people watch the most are ... the fastest noisiest classes, the kids, and the C classes. There is no doubt, these should be recognized as our "premier" classes for spectators.

              Abby, thanks for the clarification.
Sam, I like your thinking, maybe an option for C-mod step up.

                Mark O'Brien,

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but Joe Silvestri won the Saturday CMR race at Lock Haven in his CSR. At least he was running an engine without pipes. He nailed the start and never looked back. Well, actually, he did look back because I have a photo of him looking back but FIGURATIVELY he never looked back. Racing a CSR against CMR's can be fun -- been there, done that. People root for you because you're the underdog. Come play in Clarksville, VA!

With all your enthusiasm it won't be long before you're wishing for a ride, you know, just for "old times sake".

Offer to swap some race photos for a practice lap or two in someone's hydro and you might get a taker or two. Just a thought...
I do and I don't miss the racing. I have looked up a great many friends from my outboard days over the past couple of months. I even stated I had the fever just a different kind from before but as far as racing again, hmmm, maybe one day. Currently with everything else I have going on it's on the back burner. I do plan on getting my daughter and stepson into J's either next season or the one after at the latest.

Joe run's his csr in cmr the motor he runs in cmod isn't his stock motor. This motor has just a gearfoot mod to it.

                                Registration

Outboarders only!!! Feel free to e-mail your entry blanks to me over the next two weeks at aimiep19@verizon.net. I'll try to keep up. (It would make life much easier if the program at work would actually pull the documents up so I could print them here.)

Also, I am planning on setting up registration in my room at the hotel like I did in Wilson. I will have it open from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m. Please, please, please try to get it done then. I'm hoping if most of the outboarders are registered Friday night, maybe I can open outboard registration a tad bit later on Saturday morning. You all know how I get in the mornings.

If you have any questions, e-mail me. Thanks and I'll see you all soon.
