Thanks to COA and the rescue squad. I am now a member of the B-Conversion propeller scar club. Thanks to Joe Weller who was the ultimate pit guy this weekend and to all who helped pack the trailer, especially my brother Mike who really worked hard to get it all together while I was getting stitched and stapled back together. Had a great weekend!

Was there Sat. Howie, Hope you have a safe trip back south and your stop at Wilson and it was great seeing you again after all these years. Becky stay strong with the Hydro, you will get the feel of it.
Sonny, good to meet you, hope you get rid of the crutches soon and back in the boat.

Glad to hear that you are ok. I saw the boat go over and I heard that you were cut. I hope it's not to bad. I had 10 stitches and 40 staples pulled two days before the race, they look worse than they really are, they come out easy. Probably a little uncomfortable today though. Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you COA for a great race. I had a blast rollin up some laps with the boyz. The conditions were excellent for racing. It was great seeing everyone. Oh, and wading through the mold in the motel's pool was quite a refresher. I'm not worried though, the cooler contents kept the infections down.

Wayne, Did you get a load of that thing in "C" mod...holy smokes. That thing really hauls the mail. The Yamatos are easy compared to the work and knowledge that goes into making the mercs run that good. I hobbled on down to the beach for a look at that thing after I saw it run. I didn't get a chance to talk to the owner but he sure did a nice job on it. I could have swore I saw that merc reeling Alex in on the backstretch, and Alex's "C" mod is no slouch.

                              Pays to have good Kevlar!

I haven't seen the prop but am told that all three blades are folded over.(it went home with the Pickerells for repair) My Kevlar did an outstanding job as it was cut but only minimally preventing much worse damage. I was also wearing Kevlar socks which worked even better. The shoe on my left foot was shredded on the insole as well as multiple times through the sole. Not a scratch anywhere that was covered with the socks. I do have some pretty ugly bruises but I'll take that over the lacerations. Staples and stiches out in two weeks on the shin where the Kevlar was cut. Thanks again for all of the help in he pits to all.
