How is it that Im allowed to race with the 850 hydros
but not with the 750 hydros
I have a stock D motor and it only has 748cc's
The mod category has outlawed the Tohatsu from the D mod class and therefore I will not race with the FEH's and do not want them to race in the D Stock class
Whwen I chose to buy a D stock motor I had 2 choices
Tohatsu-available new,the only down fall,had to wait 6 mos
Mercury-told by Dave Scott to do some dumpster diving a find him a block, he does have the rest of stuff to build me a motor. He told me the best thing to do is spend the extra couple bucks and buy a Tohatsu

Pete, the modified commission is looking for specific data (lap times, speed etc.) which was not given to us in Washington at the past meeting. The decision was not unanimous but was made. The commission felt without specific data the d modified class, who already has a strong backing from mercury motors, does not need to just throw another motor into the mix. I am not saying I agree with this decision but that is the decision being made. As for FEH, a DSH should not be running with us. The intent of that motor in FEH was in a fully modified version. I believe if you look here on hydroracer you can see one all carved up in California. They say it is a fast FEH as well. So I would say to you Pete don't run with the FE's. If you were to race on a larger course it is dangerous for not only you but me when there is more than a 15 mph difference. I think if you feel strong about the D in DMod please put material together for this years national meeting in Detroit and I will be more than happy to bring it to the commission. I didn't plan on ASR, maybe Colleen or some one up there could put something together. I cut the back of my boat down for BSR. I will drive and pay if you have another ASR rig.
