Jeff, I would vote to run flights of four, This speeds the program up, pull any down boat to the center and slowy move him to the pits while another heat is racing. I like the center pit area, so that if you go down and you dooooo, it doesn't take all day to get you back, fixed and out on the water. Elimination heats will need to be flexable, if we have seven boats or an odd number .. I have no idea that is full proof.
