I do not know your expertise, but a kit can be bought from Sorensen woodcraft on the west coast pretty reasonably, and they go together pretty easily. I cannot tell you how many times I have seen someone stay up half the night trying to get a fellow competitor back on the water only to lose to that guy the very next day.
