Bill, Oroville Calif. There are several large bodies of water below the Dam that are used to warm up the water before it can be used for farming. We race at the park called the South Thermalito Forbay off Grand ave just outside of town.Google maps shows it real well. We will have a 1 mile course with 5 buoy turns. There are many motels in town but the Holiday Inn Express is the host hotel. I have blocked 60 rooms at $75/nite. No smoking no pets. Free breakfast. If it books up which I hope it does then I will release information on other hotels. Oroville is about 60 miles north of Sacramento airport(SMF) off hwy 70. Give me your E-Mail and I will fwrd the link to the hotel to get the rate. No RV parking in the pits but dry camping is available by the launch ramp. about 100 yards away.
