i can't believe so many people have such a fear of the tohatsu. no question that when it's allowed to be modifed it will be much faster than a mod merc... but stock not allowed to run stock in MOD????
we have 3 new tohatsu's here in region 10. many of us stock guys step up andrace with the 2 true DMODs each race just to get time to test. looks like that wont happen as the 3 tohats are always the driving force in that class.
i'm a merc guy to the bone. i however think the tohatsu should be given the same level playing field as the 44XS in both classes. it's how we improve our sport. i'll hate the day i have to retire my merc to win. but i'll gladly by a tohatsu if thats what it takes to run up front.
