Maybe not Depue but the US Title Series and APBA must get together. This is not the time for separation of of a weak show of boats. Seems to be a power struggle and the Pro racers are the pawns. Just my opinion.

started a topic Kingston 2015 APBA PRO Nationals and MOD NAC's

Kingston 2015 APBA PRO Nationals and MOD NAC's

We successfully completed three days of racing despite little cooperation from the weather. I guess we are thankful that it never got really hot. We had to contend with a lot of wind and rain. On Tuesday, our set-up day, it rained and rained, including a one hour period with 4 inches!!! We had to complete setting up for the race on Wednesday morning and early afternoon. With a great turnout of boats, we had to use an overflow pit area. Before testing could commence, this area had to be completely secured with fencing. I believe that final count was 110 entries, after about 10-12 scratches. We would like to thank:

    1) City of Kingston, especially Rick and Debbie who worked their butts off. The race is only one part of a Kingston's huge July 4th celebration.

    2) All of our officials and many volunteers who put in many, many hours setting-up and tearing down, keeping spectators out of the pits, packing the club trailer, etc, etc, etc.

    3) All of the race teams that supported this race!! Our entry numbers over the past three years have been 74, 84 and 110. This is going on the right path!!

We will provide more color on results shortly. Everyone is returning home today and I do not have the final results in hand and no longer trust my memory. Most teams remained in Kingston overnight and enjoyed the fireworks show.

We did have a couple of drivers "exit" their boats, but all drivers were fine. Jimmy Warren won the title for most classes raced and incident report forms completed!! Jimmy is fine and we appreciate all is efforts during the race and during tear down.

We certainly expect to return to Kingston in 2016. We now have a clear understanding of the resources required to set-up the pit areas (in order to satisfy our insurance commitments) and we the resources to complete this. We greatly appreciated the racing teams cooperation and patience as we worked through some unexpected kinks!

More to come on the 2015 results and we will soon begin developing the plans for 2016!

    David
