~~Obituaries~~= Joseph F. Zolkoske Jr., age 82, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at his home with his loving family at his side. On November 11, 1932, Joseph Francis was born in Neenah to the late Joseph F. and Elvia R. (Eckrich) Zolkoske Sr. On December 26, 1953, Joe was united in marriage to Patsy Tappan at St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha. As faithful members of St. Mary's, they both had a strong devotion and love for the church. Upon graduation of high school, Joe worked for Banta Publishers for 22 years as a typesetter. Joe had a love for the water and the sky. He had a collection of RC airplanes and could tell the history behind the planes as well as the wars they flew in. His greatest passion was racing boats in which he participated from the late 40's through the early 80's. Joe then supported all of his sons in their racing careers for many years through the present. Joe was the past Commodore of Wisconsin Power Boat Racing Association and a member of the Badger State Outboard Racing. Joe opened a marine business in which he enjoyed repairing boats/engines/snowmobiles for many years and was very proud of his extensive knowledge of outboard engines. After he retired, Joe stayed loyal to his former customers helping them in their time of need, which usually made him late for dinner.
