Show for the dough
AFTER the NATIONALS - "SHOW FOR THE DOUGH":
Following the conclusion of National Championship events on Saturday August 4th, MHRA will be running a few Special Events which will include:
1) Lemans Start Marathon (for APBA points): There will be either two 15 minute heats or one 20 minute heat. Typical Grass Lake Marathon course. Classic Stock Outboards welcome.
2) Lemans Start Yamato Hydro and Runabout tag team event. Teams will consist of 1 Yamato hydro and 1 Yamato Runabout driver. Points will be combine for the overall winner.
3) Merc 20H hydro and runabout race. Dust 'em off and bring 'em out!
MHRA plans to race 1-2 sets of National Championship finals on Saturday (which will all be weather dependent). After the conclusion we need some races for the specators during the prime time of the day. Thus, "SHOW FOR THE DOUGH". Trophies will be award for 1st-3rd in each class. In addition to the trophies, anyone who enters one of these special events will get one entry (name in a hat) towards the prize money drawing. 1st place finishers will get 3 additional entries, 2nd place will get 2 addtional entries, and 3rd will get 1 additional entry for the cash drawing. 1st prize $500, 2nd - $200, 3rd - $100.
We hope there will be a good turn out and we will get good support for these fun events so the Village of Grass Lake and the spectators have a good show on Saturday afternoon.
