We are getting our 3 boat rental fleet ready for the 2007 season. Had a great work party yesterday 1/13, where we got a lot of work done on the boats. Two of them should be painted today.

Two boats painted

On Sunday Mark Tingley & Lonnie Morris painted two of the boats. Please no coments on the colors as the paint was donated! The third boat will be white as there are more flaws to hide on it.
Next Saturday the hardware will be reinstalled. Next will be the lettering. On the cockpit sides it will be:

I would ask that every region seriously think about implementing this program or at the VERY least set aside an hour somewhere to allow the public to take something like this for a ride. Maybe sign em up on Sat and letem run first up on Sunday Morning. That would leave time to shop around for used stuff in the pits. It would help my economy to sell some stuff.

We get plenty of posts on here telling us how bad the sport is and how bleak the future is. Great to see some people doing something to really help the future of the sport (along with Bass, Sellewach etc). How is the success rate for this program? How many rides have been taken and how many racers came from it?

Nor Cal 400 success rate. In the past it has been good with getting new drivers. Hopefully with the boats we have now it will be even better.
