Ok, granted, we haven't started racing up here yet, and he hasn't even moved to town yet. But, knowing Daren as we do, what do you think the best idea for a new nickname for Daren be? Answer in the poll above:

Flounder???
I think Daren has hit on a name himself...flounder. Animal House, and how he is going to do initially up here in the northwest? Yes, I like Flounder. By the way, what number are you going to race? Unless something has changed in the last year, Region 10 has the most APBA members combined (Stock, Mod, & Pro) in the nation. So "R" numbers are hard to come by Daren. I believe the going price for numbers such as Rrrrrr-13 and Rrrrrr-18 is $1,000. Maybe you could petition APBA for a four digit number?
I'm not sure, as we have some rules that are stronger than APBA, but since you are new to our region, will you have to have white stripes on your helmet? You might want to check this out with our board of directors.
Also, you may have put a bullseye on the side of your boat when you only singled out a few of our many CSH/OSY racer. Plus my boys just wonder how long it will take for you to spell our name correctly. With both in CSH and OSY this year, you better watch your back over both shoulders.
Last, I know you are probably busy with your move and all, but if you are around and willing to face some of us, we have an SOA work party Saturday morning at the Shaw's. Pat can probably give you the specifics.
Looking forward to racing with you and getting to know you Daren.
Take care.

No 20ssh
Sorry Dave. Jon is adding CSH and OSY this year to ASH, ASR and YES 20SSH. Dad and wife Rebecca (the boys gave her waders for Christmas) will be busy getting him (them) in and out of the water. Also, I guess I need to revise my name for Daren. Maybe Flounder II, or Flounder in training?
Let's go racing guys and gals.

Busy???
Yup, we will be busy Dave, but that is part of the fun. Work all week and play with family and friends on the weekend. And yes, in my spare time, I'll be racing Steve's Antique equipment again this year. Boy, I sure am lucky.
On another note, some of us DO have regular jobs and can't sit by the computer all day. With that said, after just reading all the posts on the DSH at Pineville mess, I'm happy (busting out laughing) at Daren, Sheryl, and Meatball, going back and forth. Time heals, and even though Dave took it in the shorts (panties) $$$ last week, he is able to move on like most of us.
Good luck to all this year. May you have success, be safe, and above all show good sportsmanship be it in the winners circle or not.
