It was a great weekend...I think a special shout out should go to Ron and Shelly for setting up the breakfast both days to help out fellow racer and family member John Maroney, who was hurt at Lake Spanaway. I think the personal highlight of the year for me was Sunday morning at the breakfast, watching Ric Sanstrom passing out tow money checks for nationals, and watching so many people endorse the checks and put them right into the money jar....what a neat thing to see. On a side note....Saturday was the first SOA or CORA race day I have missed in 30 years....boy was that tough! I am a small business owner, and simply ran out of time to get everything done by the weekend. I know a few people commented that maybe I boycotted the race because of poor attendance at Soap Lake, which I was co race director for....just want to let people know that was far from the case. 3US
