      Lawrence Lake Friday

Friday was all day testing. There are no results to report. Everyone was fast...or slow...depending upon who you talked to.

There is no cell phone reception in the pits, and depending upon your carrier, you may have to drive about a mile out toward civilization to get a signal. Don't expect a lot of from-the-pits reports from Yelm; it can't happen there.

The rain moved in about 5 pm tonight and looks like it's socked in for the duration, so it's gonna be a wet one.

Thankfully, the race site is about 45 minutes from my own bed, so I'm home each night for warm, dry clothes, a comfy bed and a home cooked meal. If anything of note happens and KB is unable to post it from there, I'll try and get it on the APBA site in the evening.

      Cheers from soggy Pierce County,

                Weather

Got up at around 630 this morning...and it was blowing pretty hard....by the time drivers meeting started it was blowing at a steady 20 mph....end of drivers meeting even harder. As I was walking to my pit area a really hard gust came thru and tore apart my "cursed canopy" and slammed it into the side of my vintage house trailer, gouging out a large dent. I am SURE Pat Gleason has a photo of my wonderful canopy in his collection....for more info on why it is/was cursed just ask him...lol....congrads to Kyle Lewis and Dan Wilde....way to go on the records guys!
