      Good to see...

folks getting fired up for early season racing. This should bode well for the turnout at The April Fools Record Regatta (I hope).

Jerz- it's looking like there is a greater interest in 850H over 750H. Therefore, that class will by more likely to appear on the schedule.

As long as I get the equipment done in time I will run FEH or DMH. My exhaust just showed up today so that is one less thing off my list.

7 Outboard Classes at Inboard Lawrence :-)

I want to thank the Inboard Lawrence race committee for allowing us to race 7 outboard classes on their 1 1/4 mi records race course on April 9-10.

With that said, Seattle Outboard Association's Board of Directors took input from many sources and came up with the following classes, supported by the Inboard Lawrence race committee. Both days CSR, CSH, 20ssh, 350cch, FEH, DSH. Saturday, JH and Sunday AXH. As a backup plan, JH and AXH will race both days if one of the other classes cannot field a class.

From my position, it would be easy to race OMC-A/Mercury and Yamato classes only (large fields). But, I applaud and support our SOA board, as they want to give exposure across the board. Long story short, this may be a make or break opportunity for some of these classes. So class reps (and others) get on the horn and lets have a great showing of boats on April 9-10 at Lawrence Lake.

                        Jim

The outboards pit out of Scenic Shores (check the circular for directions) with the trailer launch inboards. Location is on the backstretch near the entrance to turn two, which allows for great viewing of the coarse. Crane launch inboards pit out of the public launch over by the start/finish line. Registration, drivers meetings, concession stand are all at the Scenic Shores location.

See you in less than 6 weeks

                              Cheyney,
How many "509" FEH's are coming over? Maybe you can get some of the guys that gripe about Lawrence Lake to actually show up... I am reasonably certain that if they don't show, this opportunity may not occur again soon. I hope you can rally your troops out from behind their keyboards!
