Eatonville cancelled (or at least postponed)

I regret to inform everyone that as of today the race at Silver Lake in Eatonville WA on July 10-11 has been cancelled.

Due to the passing of George Henley last year the resort property ownership has been in dispute. This prevented SOA from getting a contract drawn up for use of the resort. Without a contract we were unable to obtain an insurance certificate. Without an insurance certificat we were unable to obtain the neccesary permit from Pierce County to hold the event.

Depending on what the SOA board decides, and when and if the resort ownership gets resolved, we may be able to race there MUCH later in the year. It saddens me to have to deliver this news, but it has really been out of our hands for quite some time now.

If it is later in the year and doesn't conflict with a race east of the mountains we might be able to make it. Spending time with you all and with George and Mary was one of the highlights of last summer for us.
