  • Northwest Safety Seminar - March 28, 2009

    All:

As you may have heard, the Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum and Rick
Sandstrom have organized and scheduled the first Northwest Safety
Seminar, to be held Saturday March 28th at the Hydroplane and Race
    Boat Museum.

The day long event start with coffee and goodies at 9:30 am, and is
scheduled to run until 4 pm. Sandstrom has assembled some of the top
experts in the field of boat racing safety to present, on subjects
including Insurance issues, capsule/canopy construction, restraint
systems, personal protection equipment and much more.

We hope that all racers, regardless of category will take time out of
their busy preparations for the upcoming racing season. There is
something that will be worthwhile and viable for all boat racers at
this event. This event is being supported by a number of racing
clubs as well as Region 10, so it's all for you guys.

    An agenda is attached below.

    Hope to see you there!

    Region 10 Chairman

    A Reminder

Just a Reminder, the Northwest Safety Seminar is this Saturday, at the Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum in Kent, WA.

And for those of you from out of the area, here's some great news:

The Museum-hosted Safety Seminar (3-28 @ 10:00am to 4:00 PM PST will be webcast on the ULHRA website. There will be notices on both HARM and ULHRA websites. Info has been posted @ HydroInsider.com (use this link): http://www.kndu.com/Global/story.asp...av=menu484_4_4.

This is to allow the widest possible audience for, and dispersal of, vital safety information.

Hope you can make it, either in person, or on-line.

Great Pre-season Event - Thank You

Thanks to all of you in Region 10 and all accross the great USA who made this Safety Seminar happen in March. I learned a lot of valuable information about integrated contained air supply helmets, composite boat building (thanks to JR), APBA Insurance, driving boots, capsule design improvements, and integrated digital radio systems. The Museum is also always interesting to visit and see the latest restoration projects!

      Best Regards,

Patrick, was the seminar recorded? The museum could make a few bucks selling a DVD of it, people have asked me about it, I referred them to you.

Is a recap or minutes available?

I'm sure this meeting is of interest to many that were not able to attend or watch the video. Are minutes available??

            Video

The Seminar was webcast live as it happened. Due to technical difficulties, only the afternoon half was recorded.

I would suggest contacting the good folks at www.ulhra.org and ask them if they can post that second half online for viewing. There's good stuff there.
